A well socialised dog, who is motivated by food and particularly toy rewards, is a good candidate for agility training. Some obedience skills, such as a recall and a wait are also useful. Most agility training can be taught on the ground. Short obstacle sequences will be taught and lengthened as the dog progresses in training. Dogs leaving this class will demonstrate the improved basic ability to negotiate all contact exercises and an understanding of the Obstacle Contacts and Weave Poles. Dogs that successfully complete the end of course evaluation will move into Novice Agility. The purpose of the "Swimming Paws" Swim Center is to provide a state of the art year round swimming facility for our dogs. The pool is 25' x 15', it is solar heated (with back up heat when there is no sun). The decking and stairs are safe slip proof materials.
